Happy National Cell Phone Recycling Week

This week is National Cell Phone Recycling Week. I'm sure that most of you are busy going to National Cell Phone Recycling Week events and parties. National Public Radio jumped on the bandwagon with a report this morning about cell phone recycling. On NPR's Morning Edition this morning they did a segment on recycling cell phones. The report cited EPA data regarding the 130 million of cell phones that are discarded each year. The EPA says recycling those phones would reap 75 pounds of gold, 772 pounds of silver and 35,274 pounds of copper. It also would save energy and cut water and air pollution, including greenhouse gases.
