Happy National Cell Phone Recycling Week

This week is National Cell Phone Recycling Week. I'm sure that most of you are busy going to National Cell Phone Recycling Week events and parties. Maybe even some of you will consider recycling your cell phone's this week. If you are getting a new cell phone then you should definitely consider selling your old one (maybe to SellYourCell.com). You can make money and do something good for the environment!

National Public Radio jumped on the bandwagon with a report this morning about cell phone recycling. On NPR's Morning Edition this morning they did a segment on recycling cell phones. The report cited EPA data regarding the 130 million of cell phones that are discarded each year. The EPA says recycling those phones would reap 75 pounds of gold, 772 pounds of silver and 35,274 pounds of copper. It also would save energy and cut water and air pollution, including greenhouse gases.

Happy National Cell Phone Recycling Week!
